Precision Shooting - April competitions
During the second weekend of April we had two contests again. This time it was an precision shooting on paper - a discipline in which we are not good... That is why we have to train more and get better. After all in other types of competitions it also pays off ...
The first one was in Olomouc at the Lazce shooting range. This is a precise shooting up to 300m. This time he shot at 100, 200 and 300 meters. The speed of shooting is relatively slow (to our style) but the difficulty is high when it comes to hitting.
Due to the caliber of our weapons (6.5 Creedmoor) we are in the category "special" with fewer shooters. And they are all experienced and their equipment is really special for precise shooting...
Our "tactical equipment" is not common at these competitions. So the result was not surprising - at the end of the list...

On Sunday we were in Velvary where we shot at a distance of 150m. We took other weapons than our own to try other optics and stocks... Again it was precise shooting but the targets were more of a thought even with a hostage. This competition does not distinguish between calibers. All shoot in one category.
View through the Vortex PST 6-24x50 which is on our school rifles. Yes I took one of them... A look through the optics is again at 15x magnification.
It's the Remington 700 in the MDT ESS chassis the .308 caliber and our school ammo. The chassis is just great it forgives some flaws and I even managed to shoot the hostage target within 1/3 MOA (and I did not hit the hostage :-))
Veronika had Tikka in customized MDT HS3 chassis but the barrel is gone. We are waiting for a new one. But she wanted to test the Vortex Razor II 4.5-27x56 scope. And that is just great...
We were surprisingly successful in this competition, Veronica ended just under half and I was the sixth and left behind a few specials! With our school system... We'll have to try it more often...
